Apartheid bus – Lie!
Contrary to what is published in the Media regarding the so called “Apartheid bus lines” in the west bank, reality couldn’t be further from these claims.
Today, Palestinians wishing to cross legally into Israel have no direct bus lines to the Israeli border crossing.
As a result they are left with the options of walking, using illegal taxis [rates uncontrolled by the ministry of transport] or traveling to the nearest Israeli settlement to take a bus from it to the border.
The new bus lines opened last week, are a service to the Palestinians wishing to travel to Israel, from their towns, saving them the walk or the uncontrolled taxi fare.
The bus company has made it clear in an official announcement that no Palestinian shall be shunned if they choose to travel on the bus lines going from settlements to the Israeli border [and vice versa] or Israelis wishing to travel on the new lines open for all.
Bottom Line: No segregation and no one is banned anywhere, Just a lower price for the Palestinians workers wishing to travel to Israel [10 NIS instead of 40 NIS for an uncontrolled taxi]
Calling this service “apartheid lines” is deceptive at best [more like libelous…]
